Peugeot 207 and VW Golf lead the top ten list of best selling car
models in Europe in 2007, while Volkswagen, Ford and Opel/Vauxhall
remained the top selling brands.
The Peugeot 207, in its first full year of sales,
narrowly edged out the Volkswagen Golf to become the best selling
passenger car in Europe in 2007. Volkswagen easily maintained its position
as top selling car brand in Europe in 2007. VW was followed by Opel/Vauxhall
and Ford.
The top ten best selling cars in Europe in 2007 according to JATO Dynamics
were:

The number one top selling car in Europe
in 2007 was the Peugeot 207. The Peugeot 207 was in its first full
year of sales in Europe and has narrowly beaten the VW Golf to become
Europe's best selling car.

| 2. Volkswagen Golf

The number two top selling car in Europe in 2007 was the VW
Golf. Germany's perpetual number one selling car returned to near the top in
overall European sales after slipping from best selling car in Europe in
2005 to only the fourth best selling car in 2006.

The third best selling car in Europe in 2007 was the Ford Focus. The
Focus maintained its third position (from 2006 and 2005) but the number of
Focus cars sold in Europe is slipping.

The Opel / Vauxhall Corsa benefited from a model change to become the
fourth best selling car in Europe in 2007. The Corsa dropped off the top ten
best selling car list in 2006 after a tenth place in 2005. |

The Opel / Vauxhall Astra slipped to fifth place overall after being best
selling car in Europe in 2006 and second best seller in 2005. |
| 6. Renault Clio

The Renault Clio slipped from second place in 2006 to sixth best seller
in Europe in 2007. |

selling cars in 2007, thus outselling most mainstream and less "exclusive"
models on sale.
